On December 3, 2015, Camden Hanzlick-Burton was featured as a guest on Heartland Labor Forum, a Kansas City radio show about the workforce and the Labor Movement. Camden was invited to discuss an op-ed he wrote about his decision to quit teaching in Kansas. Listen to his commentary (beginning at approximately 29:39).

Camden, a 2012 KSTF Teaching Fellow, teaches biology at Sierra Public High School in Seattle, Washington. He received the 2015 Outstanding New Biology Teacher Achievement Award—sponsored by Pearson, the Neil A. Campbell Educational Trust and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT)—and was named the 2015 Outstanding Biology Teacher for the state of Kansas by the NABT and the Kansas Association of Biology Teachers.
