Michaelrose Ravalier

Michealrose Ravalier is the Director of Professional Development for the St. Thomas–St. John School District in the U.S. Virgin Islands. A passionate STEM educator, she has taught AP Biology, Honors and General Biology, Introduction to Human Physiology, Forensic Science, and Physical Science. She currently supports teachers across the district in building innovative, sustainable, and student-centered learning environments.

Michealrose is a PhD candidate in Creative Leadership & Innovation for Change at the University of the Virgin Islands, where her research explores how STEM integration and creative leadership influence equitable instructional practices. She recently served as the main speaker at the Model Schools Conference, representing the Virgin Islands with her featured session, “Social-Emotional Wellness: A Holistic Approach.”

Beyond her leadership in education, Michealrose is a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a member of the Virgin Islands Conservation Board. She is also a former Educator for Equity Fellow and STEM Fellow with the National Network of State Teachers of the Year (NNSTOY). She is committed to advancing a vision of learning that is culturally grounded, joyful, inquisitive, and accessible to every student.

She believes deeply that it takes a village to educate and empower a child.
