They are designed to empower educators by demonstrating effective teaching methods, allowing participants to observe, practice, and integrate these techniques into their own teaching. Courses & Workshops
At Knowles we offer a variety of courses that we can customize for your school or district. We offer one-, two- or three-day math and/or science specific professional learning that promote curiosity, increase student engagement and increase access to learning for all students.
Our Customers
Trenton Public Schools, New Jersey
Knowles provided a one day course, Designing & Implementing Engaging Lessons, to 100 middle and high school math teachers. Followed by virtual coaching for 20 math teachers over the course of the school year to support their implementation.
Festus R-VI School District, Missouri
Knowles led a 3 day course, Promote Sensemaking with Science & Math Practices, to 13 district science teachers to support their ongoing implementation of NGSS standards into their curriculum.
Newton North High School, Massachusetts
Knowles conducted a three-day course, “Increase Participation: Strategies for Effective Groupwork,” for 20 high school science teachers. Following the course, instructors led 10 monthly virtual department meetings to support their implementation.

Online Course 
Designing & Implementing Engaging Lessons
6:30 PM-8:30 EST 25.00 This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to modify and implement learning experiences that cater to all students’ needs while promoting a deeper conceptual understanding of the content. By the end of the course, participants will apply a framework that will support them in creating engaging learning environments where every student sees themselves as capable “doers” of math and science.
A $25 registration fee is required to secure your spot. As a token of our appreciation for your commitment to your students and advancing math and science education, attendees who complete at least 5 out of the 6 sessions will receive a $50 gift card.

Online Workshop 
Increasing Participation in Groupwork
7:30PM – 9:00PM ET Free What was groupwork like for you when you were a student? Do you want it to look similar or different? Are you enthusiastic about the idea of your students working in groups? In this workshop, teachers will learn how to leverage groupwork to provide students with more learning opportunities. Teachers will gain insights into productive groupwork while reflecting on their current groupwork practices. Facilitated by experienced teachers, participants will leave with small, practical changes that can be implemented to make groupwork structures more productive for all students.

Online Workshop 
Promote Engagement in Science through Lesson Design
7:30PM – 9:00PM ET Free In this workshop, teachers will learn how high cognitive demand tasks increase opportunities for students to access learning. Teachers will explore ways of modifying tasks to increase students’ abilities to engage in sensemaking. This workshop will assist teachers in gaining the knowledge and confidence needed to design and modify tasks for their math classrooms to engage more learners.
