Through everything I’ve done in my life, serving others has been core to my beliefs. What greater way to serve the world we live in than to be part of creating and shaping its future; and what greater way to serve our next generation than to be someone that encourages and empowers them so that they may go out and accomplish great things for themselves, their communities, and this world.”

Mathematics

Why Mathematics

“I have always loved math, especially applied mathematics. Math is this incredible tool we have to help us model and make sense of the world around us. It helps us make decisions and predictions; it helps us communicate and explain; and it provides evidence to support or invalidate the claims we make. I’m passionate about the science of math and want to help students discover the applicability and benefits of it as a tool in their own life.”

Professional Experience

Jennifer served in the U.S. Air Force from 1998 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Jennifer worked as a Senior Product Manager at Amazon. In this role, she led the integration of Amazon’s Last Mile Delivery Network with Amazon’s larger transportation network and laid the foundation for the last-mile delivery network that now delivers more than 30% of all U.S. shipments.

From 2016 to 2018, Jennifer worked as a Senior Aerospace Consultant and Strategic Advisor for Sila Solutions Group, a national consulting firm that provides management and technology solutions to Fortune 500 companies.

Beginning in 2018, Jennifer worked as the Vice President of Operations for DroneSeed, a Seattle-based startup with a mission of combating climate change by replanting forests utilizing drone technology. She continues her service with DroneSeed in a part-time capacity as the Director of Regulatory Affairs, serving as their primary liaison to state, federal, and international regulatory agencies.
